Still living mostly in the humdrum, but with warmer weather. Sometimes a bit too warm, had a nice little break from the heat, now the temps are rising again. Have been able to use Fun (little motorcycle) to run some errands on the weekend and to just have fun. Took it for a short ride to the start of Rt66 and back home.
Made it to the finale of the Chicago Blues Fest where Mavis Staples was headlining. She's doing a bunch of festivals and such in the UK coming up and bouncing around Europe as well. Sadly, not WOMAD, what a missed opportunity for Peter. Not my video:

Also caught some of the Cash Box Kings set and a few others, as I have a tendency to wander a bit. The Chicago Blues Fest is a good time to plan a trip to Chicago, though I'm sure the hotel costs are on the high side all during festival season.
Guy had his teeth done last week and is now up to date on his vaccinations. Which reminds me I'm overdue for some preventative maintenance myself.
Dory's windshield got a big crack in it the other day, what is it with new cars? The rocks and such always seem to find them. This one was flung up at high velocity from the grass cutters along the highway. What does one do? Insurance company has it set up for repair tomorrow morning. So, there you go. Guess life can't be all fun, but I'm trying.
