As a 72 y/o man, a while ago I made a bucket list. So far, I have acquired seven out of the ten buckets on my list. You can't have too many buckets
I have also made an alternative bucket list and item #3 is - go to a music festival. I have actually been to a festival before; Bickershaw, in May 1972. I remember it well, the three days of 24 hour music, the free abandon of all the crowd, the rain, the copious amounts of freely available drugs and the bewilderment (and good wishes) of the local townsfolk to the invasion of the hippie horde. I look forward to reliving this happy time, though I am a realist; I realise that I won't be dancing quite so much and this time I will be bringing a tent (1972, I just had a bedroll inside a man-sized plastic bag). Also, I bet Black Microdot cost a lot more than 12/6d a tab!
Look out for me and say hello; I'll be the arl fella carrying a bunch of buckets

Iβm sure you will enjoy yourself, although you may have to make do with copious supplies of cider instead of microdots.
Make sure you have a nice comfy airbed to sleep on and bring clothes for all weathers.

Do you have spare bucket, I could do with one for during the night after a skin full.

Ah, Purpledawn. Our paths may have crossed before; I have lived upon this earth for seventy-2 years now, it's a small world! Also, you may have come across my posts on the forums 'I kip, u kip' & 'The Sun; keeping morons informed'. You're right in that I do enjoy the output of CBahMB, but that predates Bickershaw

Not a bucket list kind of person. If I want to do something I find a way. May have to compromise a bit, but it gets done. My problem with WOMAD is how we pick vacations at work. Depending on how my friend is doing, the Shetlands is still in the realm of possibility next spring, but not written in stone.
Until we pick vacations in November I won't know. If enough people retire before then and I can get the weeks I need off for WOMAD UK, I'm all there...if I can get the necessary visa, that might be required by then.
Don't worry that far, have fun, you all deserve it.
