Not so long ago, stewards seemed prepared to wade in and pull out any one they suspected of taking drugs in the audience.  It then became blatant that people were dealing.  Now seems to be even more blatant use all round with security seemingly not bothered and not sure @bout the police attitude. If this does lead to the licence being revoked then it is only Womads own fault.  Why oh why do they have a prominent ‘search’ on one gate yet if you come in though any other entrance (such as park and camp) there was probably no risk of being stopped at all.  

we didn’t see any snorting, pills or dealing but there were more spliffs around. One guy in front of us threw a whitey but luckily we saw it was about to happen. He and his girlfriend were dancing in front of us and smoking either a large spliff or a small cone, his dancing became wider and wider more circular and circular. Rather than holding our hands out it stop him invading our “space” (which may be perceived as confrontational) we moved sideways and left him more room ( others did the same). He then stopped dancing stood upright and collapsed backwards, almost standing to attention, he came around after a few seconds Managed to sit up for a min or two before standing and leaving rather sheepishly. Just glad we had both moved 😀. I really don’t mind the occasional spliff being smoked but I would hate Womad to get the reputation for chemicals.
