We'll collect ours when we meet people at the purple gate
Not worried about the back stage bar but a free drink is another story

Yes, think all those who paid by instalments got it. Could be crowded back there! I had to call eventbrite from Spain to get the problems sorted.

A free drink, that's a rare but nice gesture by a festival. I will try and get over to purple gate tomorrow.
Womad did me a favour last week by emailing to offer tickets at 20 % discount, saying I had not bought any tickets yet, that was the point I realised I didn't have any tickets 🤔, soon sorted after a couple of emails.

I might not bother, Purple gate is a long way, even though it's definitely my colour

That’s nice to know on the day I go to Womad. bought an early bird ticket, saved about £20 on the price. In exchange Womad had use of my money and commitment of ticket sale for around eight months. 20%, that’s about £40 discount isn’t it? still feel ripped off and annoyed when they did something similar for Womad at bristol zoo. Early bird ticket with no discount, but much later saw could have saved money through a discount shopping site - including free entry to the zoo a5 any time over the next 12 months. right that’s that over with now to enjoy the festival

The positive I was taking from it was I had stupidly forgotten to check if I had tickets from the instalment plan option I had taken up. It was only after they contacted me I realised they had not sent me my tickets yet, a quick email or two and they sent them to me. I assume ticket sales must be down if they are contacting people who they think have not bought tickets yet with 20% discount. I should have kept that bit quiet, sorry people. Have a good festival all.

It's up to the individual to make a trip to the Purple Gate or not, but it's not often one is offered a free upgrade for anything these days. It would be hard to turn away a free drink.

For the inconvenience and stress caused, the free drink is a nice gesture. Although, walking past the backstage bar I did wonder why anyone in normal circumstances would want to waste any time there.
