I have a high school reunion coming up. Wasn't going to go, but a couple of friends are going, so I'm going.
Was curious as to whether anyone here goes to their school reunions or not? and why they make their choice?

I hated my time at school and no way would I want to revisit any of that (apart from one or two girls I wish I'd kissed. . .) Maybe if you still have friends from that time it would be different, but how many years is it since you left? I think it would be at best meaningless, at worst, embarrassing.

I get it Beef, but since a couple of my good friends are going, what the hell? Who knows, one of the weasels from high school might show up and I can maybe ask him if he's still a weasel like I did at the ten year one. At the encouragement of one of my friends that will be at this one. He wasn't at the last reunion so I expect his weasely ways caught up to him. Let's just say, he was one of those music industry types Peter escaped from, and I'm guessing, anyone with any sense escaped him first chance they got. Anyway, we'll see if they let me in, because my dress casual leans to plain casual.

Hope it goes well then Zenrider - you're braver than me - I'd just find it too weird - how much people might have changed / not changed / be remembered / forgotten?

It's not brave, it's more the realization that they have no power over me.

Well, that's a wonderful realisation to have Zenrider! Have a great time there!

Yep, but then I got a little overly self conscious when I realized I packed the wrong pants, so ended up dressed more dressy hiking instead of dressy casual. Ah what the hell. As it was, some of the people you hope will show up never do.
