Just found out about this, it's to 'welcome refugees to Tunbridge Wells', at the Forum on 29th September (midday to 6pm).

There were probably around 30 Syrians at the festival today. Along with the vast majority of Brits, I don't know anyone from Syria, and it was a pleasure to be in the company of so many respectful, grateful and beautiful people, just pawns in a global political game.
It's such a shame 99% of the country have no direct access to refugees and rely on the twisted picture presented by the mainstream media. I believe many would be much more tolerant if they had a real human connection. At least we can have this sort of event in the middle of a small south eastern town, it felt like a celebration.
