Nice email last night, maybe to make up for official forum close today.
Several UK dates on sale from tomorrow, including VIP packages. Never done one of those yet as I generally think there are too expensive but this could be Pg last big tour so as I only did one leg last year I will do several this time as long as I can get nearer the front like back in the day.
Also anychance of a total standup gig?
Don't think there has been an inside UK one since Brighton 2004.

I saw that too and wondered about 'last' big tours, but I'd love to see PG do smaller venues as well. I guess it isn't going to happen now. Some of these venues might well be mainly standing - would love that. I wonder about Sheffield or Birmingham and the date isn't far off my birthday....where are you from cebs, far to come?

Well there goes my thought that he might go to South America this Fall. Perhaps that was wishful thinking for our South American and Mexican friends. Maybe Spring next year?

Thanks, I noticed from the vip info that Cardiff and Dublin have vip standing tickets so hopefully will have normal ones as well.
A full standing gig is great as too many people sitting and talking is what spoiled Manchester for me last year as I wasn't right at the front.
I am from Manchester but never mind a drive to watch Peter, just very easy to get home when he plays at the MEN Arena.
I wonder if he will go any summer shows this year, probably too late to announce his own but maybe an apperance at WOMAD if they are in touring mode.

Pre sale tickets are live now.
Cardiff have standing tickets for sale and others have some seating on the floor but not all the sections show a seating plan which is just plain laziness imo.
Got 2 standing tickets for Cardiff for now.

Personally, I can't wait for this tour to finish so the old boy can focus (I know, I'm stifling a laugh as I type) on the new album. I'm making an assumption that there will be a new album... Perhaps one more before he shuffles off to the beach permanently

. . . especially following the shutdown of the beloved forum with not one word about it from PG, I find the simultaneous emails flogging more of his re-tread tours and encore CDs just insulting. . .

I know Mr Beef - and the Forum was beloved wasn't it? Also a link, however tenuous, to PG. I shall miss it and the lunatic ramblings very much. Hopefully we can happily mutter to ourselves here and occasionally get a reply from someone..... I love the way you waited for all of 5 hours to say that again Mr D!

Yeah, let's hope so duddy - I've come to realise that although I've all but given up on PG in recent years, I hadn't given up on the forum. . . I've not got my own FB account, but I've had a look at the PG community thing, and it just looks awful - nothing like a forum. I can't imagine that running the forum cost much - the two make-overs must have cost quite a bit. .. just to be scrapped. I think it's good to sometimes be suprised and puzzled by your favourite musicians (etc) - but not like this. . . with hindsight I think that the "year of interesting things" was just a lead up to this.
