Well decided to go to Sheffield tonight after not being that bothered with Pg recently.
I've dragged my ten year old son along as he knows a fair bit of gabriel, wasn't that excited but as we walked past the arena from the tram station not only could we hear the sound check doors were open into the arena so we could look in.
Watched digging in the dirt and darkness, got me in the mood now. I would have watched more but my son had enough.

Thanks Zenrider,
We did thanks,my lad feel asleep for a few mins during mercy street and was a little bored but he liked all the big numbers and he enjoyed the tower that ate people with the tube thing in the middle.
This wasn't my best tour as I think an album doesn't flow the same way a concert should in my view, too many ups/downs/up/down etc rather than a continuous build towards a massive end/encore. However as ever the lights, video and sound were great and I really enjoyed that side of it.
I was hoping to hear Darkness after seeing a peak at the rehearsal but sadly it was the same set list as last year and the dvd, I had read that Games without Frontiers might have made the list also which would have been nice.
Have to play the waiting game now for some new stuff and maybe a smaller tour within the next 5 years but I think it might even be longer.
In the meantime maybe we will get some HD releases of Growing Up, Still Growing Up and Play the videos at some point and maybe a rarities special at some point.
I'd like to get the Jools Holland New Blood tracks from 2011 on a disk/download and the video footage from Realworld 2004 would make for a new treat at some point along with video footage from the Radio 2 gig.

Glad you had fun, even if your son dozed off for a bit. Glad you heard him rehearse darkness, even if they didn't play it that night. It's pretty sad when we go from a hey Peter's touring again! Let's go! Maybe he's ready to bring us something ne w! To, I have nothing better to do, guess I'll go to a Peter Gabriel concert to fill the time. As for new stuff, he seems more interested in promoting new bands on his label then doing anything new with his.
