....and now there is no toilet paper left, sales of the Daily Mail are rocketing. I couldn’t use the daily mail to wipe my ar53. My bot would feel even dirtier afterwards.

I am sure I saw a report saying that not only hand sanitisers were disappearing fast but also condoms...the reason, people are putting them on their fingers just to press lift buttons Fingers? That explains why I've just been banned from the shopping centre... And explains why you only used the lift to reach the 3rd floor then had to take the stairs. 🤪

Ah yes, Han Zimmers relatives made one version very popular. Hans of course wrote the famous track 'Injection' for the situation just prior to a virus becoming a Pandemic.

Just read an article that alludes to something I've been wondering and that it's very possible smokers are at greater risk of having a severe case or even death. Especially, long time smokers. It may be one of the variables as to why the death rate is higher in China for males than females, as far more men smoke than women. Which tends to be true in most countries.

I heard the same yesterday on news. Weaker lungs and a respiratory illness isn’t a good mix

Yes indeed, standards would be slipping if I sank that low. Apt time to mention the desert; the locals use the fresh soft dry sand. We used toilet paper of course & were given strict instructions-and a lighter-to burn it! If you dont make it into ash it will blow around for years before being degraded.

Romans of course used a sponge on a stick (hence the phrase “Getting hold of the wrong end of the stick”), but Romans didn’t in Britain as sponges were too expensive to import. So a handful of smooth rounded pebbles would be used instead, or if the bot was particularly ravished by an extreme curry a handful of moss was used. We don’t need toilet paper or The Mail.

In fact pebbles were used until recently in some countries. I recall someone telling me a story of one country that moved from pebbles to fully flushing toilets only for the drains to become blocked because the people were flushing pebbles down their toilets. Was that tale from you DT? May well have been, it was someone knowledgable.

So the Roman used a Roman sponge, presumably the Celts a Celtic Sponge, the vikings a Viking sponge - a tradition carried on all through history until Queen Victoria’s time.

Fresh urine is sterile. Cut up old flannels and towels into 4inch squares (or larger or smaller,as you choose, or, indeed, circles or something geometric...) and use as we dabs. Just bung in with usual wash - don't flush! - and save your paper for poooooooos.

Will festival-goers be covered if events are cancelled? Ticket holders will be entitled to refunds if events are cancelled, though these payouts could seriously harm festivals without insurance cover for communicable disease. Michael Rawlings, underwriting manager at Event Insurance Services, told the Guardian that “very few people would have had the foresight” to add on the specialist cover. www.theguardian.com/world/2020/mar/09/shopping-travel-events-what-coronavirus-means-for-consumers

No not me, but did see a set of water toilets in Leptis Magna, the sponges were plentiful as it is next to the Med' and kept in vinegar.
