Happy Full Super Flower Moon!
This moon finds us all spending more time at home than we ever thought we would. Whether mandated or not, it's just a good idea right now.
I hope everyone who has a garden that it's growing nicely and they aren't too tired from spring maintenance. I'm still working on mine.
Hoping everyone who can is enjoying as much time outdoors physical distancing as is possible. Glad to see many people are maintaining their social closeness, even if it's from a distance.
As for me, the world wide situation has made my so called staycation even more so than ever. Aside from a few trips to the store for essentials plus. Figure if I'm there for essentials might as well pick up some kind of essentials. Even took the bike with a milk crate strapped on the luggage rack. Hey, fun, fuel efficient and keeps me from getting too carried away when getting things. Oh, and did I mention fun? I've decided, since it has a practical side, to change it's name to Bill, after Sam's pony in Lord of the Rings.
Family is doing well. The meds my Stepfather is on now for his cancer has actually shrunk the tumor a little and the side effects aren't as harsh as the last, so he's feeling more up to doing things he couldn't last year. And, yes, of course he's feeling better at a time of a pandemic. Just glad he's feeling better. Much as this medication won't likely cure him, it's good to see him have a bit better a quality of life than he was having under the last medication. We will definitely take and extra time with him as well.
Finally saw Guy last weekend and will be going out again this evening. The barn is going to open up more days as the lockdown restrictions ease, but are still trying to limit how many people are out at a time and hoping people act responsibly in the use of hand sanitizers, washing their hands, not touching things they don't have to, and such.
The next few weeks and months will be interesting as the world starts figuring out how to come out of lockdown and enter a new age of personal responsibility, which should prove interesting at best, frightening at worst.
In the meantime we need some happiness! and perhaps a little cake.
So Happy Flower Moon Birthdays To!
