Summer is a bit odd. A July without Womad; the first in 16 years! I dreamt of wandering into Siam tent on a hot afternoon in a slightly out of this world state, beer in hand, folk sitting around, scents of trampled grass, sound check of a pair of congas or an oud. Anticipation of a big band. “Please welcome to the stage....”
Anyone into doing a zoom meet? Virtual real ale tent? Virtual Lunched out Lizards?
I’ll try to share a few videos of Womad moments. Chai Chapel etc.
Some may even feature you! 👍
I’ve joined the Womad community fb page. Anyone else?

I’m immersed in a full on Homad, tent ready to sleep in tonight, laptop streaming music from under a tarpaulin and I’m sat in the garden chilling out ❤️⛺️

Have listened to most, if not all of the Womad at Home streams. Really enjoyed Sarathy Korwar, and last week's Cheng Yu combo. Looking forward to 9Bach in a few weeks' time.
