Taxi Kebab have withdrawn from the line-up for health reasons (Covid?) - I was keen on seeing them, but the clash with the Flaming Lips was problematic. So that removes one of my clashes, depending on who comes in to replace them  At this point not likely to have replacements. Perhaps some will play a few more songs to make up the gap? |

Last minute replacements do happen and quite regularly at Womad, sadly they must be used to performers getting held up by immigration etc so must have a few names on speed dial. Still remember Corner Shop appearing as a replacement, and giving an amazing performance a few years back. |

For those of you who need to stock up on provisions, there's now an Aldi, next to the garden centre. It's a lot cheaper than Waitrose! we suspect long queues out side Aldi each morning, I hope someone has warned them to stock up on bacon, eggs, rolls and beer. |

When collecting the organic quails eggs, foie gras and finest oak smoked salmon my chauffeur says parking the Bentley is easier at Waitrose and if you order a case of champagne they will deliver.  (Zen, they are at opposite ends of the price bands, both have their merits, you should visit) |

Have you seen the angry posts on FB Womad Community page because Womad have asked folks to print tickets to save time on the gate? Why wouldn't you print your ticket? I'm baffled by the attitudes of some folk and I just hope that the queues aren't worse because of their obstinacy.

Having said that this will be the first time I've had to take a physical ticket to a gig for a number of years, certainly before COVID. These days is just a quick scan on your smart phone which is the better option environmentally. I don't have access to a printer at home and took advantage of when I was in the office earlier in the week. |

Yep, printing off isn't really a thing any more - so much easier to just keep it on your phone. Plus, it seems barely anyone has printers any more - I printed mine at work too.

You don't have to have a printed ticket they only said it would be helpful if you did. Our friend has been staying with us for the last few days and hasn't been near a printer. So he doesn't have that option. |

Given my logistics to get to WOMAD, I have it printed, email in a special folder and a screenshot. I'm not leaving anything to chance. |

I'm thinking they are trying to avoid the people that wait until they get to the gate to find it on their phone, then hold things up that way. If you are ready with your phone before you get to the gate, it's not an issue. Frankly, I'd be, "Oh, you don't have it ready on your phone yet? Please step to the back of the line and have it ready when you get to the gate." |
