UB40 were a band that were often playing in those eye opening small spaces in Bristol which we visited as students; a whole new wonder- multicultural, shebeens black folks beany hats, something i'd never experianced. Halcyon days.
It was also the soundtrack of Thatcher's broken Britain in the early 80s and the time I started travelling.
Heartfelt sadness on this news.
