Loaded the car, post Womad Monday morning, set off to leave Charlton Park and found I had a stowaway buzzing around my windscreen (inside). Window down, managed to get the little chap to fly out as I was queuing to get out of the red gate.
Not a very exciting story but at least I avoided getting stung and causing a serious accident on the M4.

Nah, wasps do a lot of good, particularly for pollination. wasps have been around for a long time, approx 270 million years and are the ancestors of bees and ants, there is a saying that bees are wasps that forgot how to hunt and ants are wasps that forgot how to fly. Best to leave them be, if possible, and do not kill them as that just causes more to come. after saying that, I am sorry for anyone who gets stung and it is a serious issue for those with a severe allergy.

How close was that!
Thought I would sit outside in the garden to eat my tea. Lifting the fork to my mouth, noticed a wasp on the food but too late! Seemed ok and assumed the little fella had flown off but, after a few seconds thought it best to be safe and ‘spit’ the mouthful back on my plate and yes, there was the little chap having a close look at what had been in my my mouth (along with him).
Guess so lucky it never felt threatened and resorted to a full on sting attack, could have been bad!
