Chicago Area Band that I'm not affiliated with in anyway, except for contributing to their kickstarter and kinda diggin' them. There is something about them I can't help but like. Anyway, figure perhaps, I can help someone reach their dream. Or at least have fun playing some venues in Europe... No pressure here, but figure there may be just enough lurkers here that may think these are some kids that can use a little help, hey Peter does this too, what the hell. www.kickstarter.com/projects/1801575573/district-97s-in-vaults-2016-world-tourOddly, I think the lead singer here may be on of the few that could do a cover to Looking For Someone and make it work.

Hey they made their pledge and some guy in Cheltenham bought their play in my town level. I thought about it, but not quite in my budget.

I've seen some great bands at the Borderline - really nice intimate venue just off Charing Cross Road... but just realised I'm going to be on one of my very infrequent holidays... exactly then... doh!

Beef, shame on you, one can never take too many holidays. Going anywhere fun? OK, most of mine have been spent fixing things more then traveling the last few years. I may make it across the pond this year, early May, but may not make it much, if any, south of Aberdeen. Have a friend in the Shetlands I owe a visit. OK, technically it's her turn, but... anyway, have to start pricing things to see if it's a doable reality or not.

Saw them Friday night. I don't know if they will ever make it 'big time', but they are a fun, high energy band. PS, if you do see them, ask them if they've gone to Raglan Castle yet. hehehehe Sorry, it's one of my favorite castles, somewhat doable with their schedule, and couldn't help but plant a seed to, hopefully, make sure they get out and see more then what's on the usual itinerary when Americans go to the UK.

I went to Raglan castle (just inside Wales?) about 25 years ago. . . it was a great place - one of the best castles I've visited.

Yup, that's the one. A bit North of, but between Bristol and Cardiff. Much as I usually don't try to see places I've already been when I travel, that was one I just had to do a second time. First time was 25-26 years ago, the last time was almost 10 years ago. Both times were off-season and had the place almost to myself both times. OK, the cats were there too!

I know some of the FMC forum folks have been on this cruise, as have The Stick Men (Tony Levin's prog band), so if any of them or lurkers here (or both) make that an annual thing, they will have the opportunity to see District 97 on next years cruise. Tempting as it is, I'm spending so much on my trip coming up.... cruisetotheedge.com/
