For me it will be the Rustic Inn (in Wilmington, IL)one day Blues Festival this coming Sunday. If you buy the whole catfish dinner there's no cover charge. Not a bad line up. Twist and The Groove Machine Billy King Jaywalkers The Chicago Blues Angels Rude Mood T-Bird Huck Chicago Kingsnakes Master James Cal, the local AC/DC tribute band, Damnation, will be playing Saturday night.  |

Went to my last Buxton Festival show of 2016 last night. 4 operas in 2 weeks  Would love to see more of Buxton Festival, but most of the non-opera stuff is on during the daytime while I'm at work. 2 Fringe events booked for tonight (and hopefully I'll get into a third). 3 tomorrow and then 1 on Sunday which is the last day. Been a great 2.5 weeks so far. Managed to get to at least one Festival or Fringe event a day except for the first day of the fringe when I just couldn't find anything I wanted to go to. Which means I still have something to aim for next year! Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday I have a chance for a bit of a breather before ... Womad! Then the following Monday evening I shall probably relax! (and catch up on a lot of TV) |

Ugh, want to go to the blues fest, but we have a temp of 34*C with a feels like 56*C due to the humidity. Ugh. Going to run out to the barn and check on the ponies first. I'm sure they are fine, but...
