Pedalling Dreams: The Raleigh Story Today 21:00 โ 22:00 Documentary telling the extraordinary tale of Raleigh bikes - a beautifully illustrated story full of remarkable characters, epic adventures and memorable bikes. On BBC4 now. I had a Raleigh bike, eventually sold it to someone who could appreciate it more. OK, that and it was a really good deal when I bought it, but a little too big/tall for me. I have one of the last Made In America Schwinn 'mountain' or as I call it, all purpose bikes now.

Really enjoyed valerian despite many critics slating it. Thought it was like Star Wars meets barbarella and with good reason. Barbarella was based on a 1960's French cartoon strip and Star Wars was heavily influenced by French cartoon sci fi of the same era. Anyway, thought valerian was different and taking risks rather than a safe format. oh and also good to see the leads and the love interest being similar ages. None of that Harrison ford or similar aged male actor hitting on someone half his age. we thought the actors were a bit too young for the parts so you can imagine our shock when we discovered they were 25 and 31! #feelingold

Not Film or TV but its sure to make the small screen. I'm following Mark Beaumont as he attempts to cycle around the world in 80 days. Simply mind blowing to think he is on the bike for 16+ hours per day. The web site gives a google map location and lots of feedback from each days ride. www.artemisworldcycle.comSome days back in Australia (Mark is now racing across New Zealand) Mark met Ed Pratt on the road as he attempts to be the first person to UNICYCLE! around the world, He's such a lovely fella who posts lots of you tube videos giving his life on the road progress reports, two and a half years of videos and compelling stuff.

Blade Runner 2049
Long and methodical, not a very taxing plot and slightly misogynistic (just like the original)
on the up side, great cinematography, sets and costumes

Loved it but the original movie is still amazing and hard to beat. But hey! its a bum on seat cinema film which will be lost without the big sound and wonderful cinema.

Just finished watching Orange is the New Black, a Netflix prison drama set in the US. Tells the tale of prison from the inside, worth viewing to confirm that austerity is a political choice imposed on those who have no choice by those whose only aim is to profit from them.
