How was Miles Del? Our house has two versions of a Kind of Blue, my eldest has the original version and then a friend bought me the latest version. The latest version explains that when the original was recorded (1959) they recorded simultaneously on two machines. One of these machines was acidently running slightly slow and no-one realised. The 3 tracks on side 1 of the LP were taken from recording from that machine. The pitch therefore was slightly too high when compared to what the musicians actually played at the time. It took some 50 odd years for the mistake tobe noticed and corrected. Despite the mistake, the album has consistently been considered the most influential Jazz record of all time, with John Coltrane's A Love Supreme a firm 2nd.
Personally, I'd be buggered backwards with a baseball bat if I can tell the difference. :-)

we saw 3 films at the Glasgow Film Festival starting with the a world premier of The Colours of the Alphabet which is a documentry about education in Zambia when English is the official language but outside of the major cities only 2 percent of the population speak English. Very thought provoking not just about language issues but also the erosion of cultures.
Next was The Boy and Beast, an anime tale of orphan who stumbles upon an alternative world full of beast like humans who need to select a new leader. The story covers loss, friendship redemption and love. we enjoyed it and at time it was visually stunning
Last film of the day was April and the Extraordinary World, this steam punk French animations tell the story of a family struggle to find a serum to cut everything. Very very funny and so well imagined.

Land of Mine
This film tell the story of a troop of German POW are forced to de-mine a beach on the west coast of Denmark. Based on real events this is not a easy film to watch as it so tense however it also show even in the brutality of war humanity is still the strongest force

and that was all it was about
90 minutes of a woman walking about with some dogs

Right some top films for the Glasgow Film festival
The Wave, an excellent Norwegian disaster movie about a mountain side falling into a fjord (and the mountain in the film will on day fall into the fjord!)
The Fencer, and heart warming tale of a Estonian teacher who is try to escape his past in a small rural school but when he starts a fencing club he become a surrogate father to all the children and has to face the demons from his past
Marguerite, is a tail of honest verses love. A wealthy baroness is passionate about music and loves to sing but no one has the heart to tell her she can't sing! The screeching baroness is then asked to perform for the public.........................
Time Out of Mind, see Richard Gere play a homeless man slowly accepting the reality of his situation and brutality of being homeless. This not a easy watch as it is an honest portal of being homeless but it is expertly crafted and the performances by the cast a incredibly real.

So, we not using "Full Moon Pub/Full Moon Pub/Seen any good films?" ? I would say yes because this is in the Everything Womad section, the reason being I think it might confuse new Lunartics if people go off topic/thread. I get confused and a bit annoyed where people just post randomly, but then I do like everything in order . Mind you, we don't want any 'other forum' style dictatorial attitudes do we?
