Have seen Count Arthur twice. First time at the Bristol hippodrome up in the circle. Did not enjoy at all but put that down to the venue, way too big and too distant from stage. Gave him a second go when he appeared at the monmouth savoy. Really good in a smaller more intimate venue, so glad I decided to give him a second go.
Recommend seeing him life, good old fashioned corny fun. Just to say, be selective where you see him, a smaller venue is the best by far.

Seen the trailer for Kedi before and it does look good, not sure how I will get to watch (not likely to be showing at my local cinema). Will have to search for something online instead (or hope it is picked up by BBC4)

Cerys just mentioned that Woolf Works will be showing on BBC 4 next Wednesday. As a ballet it is fantastic, especially with a score by Max Richter. Highly recommended. The music might be relayed on radio three at the same time.

Bady Driver
very stylish and has the look and feel of a graphic novel at time also a nod and a wink to a comedy classic (which Edgar Wright acknowledged when Del tweeted him)

That makes it a must see for me. Such good TV, must haven hours to get it scripted, timed right, rehearse, timing spot on no produce for only 180 or so seconds. But is timeless comedy.

On BBC4 now. Yes, caught some of that. I have a Raleigh Pursuit racer bike which I love, it's got to be about 35 years old, I've had it ages and it was second hand when I got it. My grandfather and uncles used to work at the Raleigh workshop in Nottingham that they featured on the TV. An uncle must have been there at the time of the TV documentary in the 60s.

Salem, currently showing on Netflix. Gory, raunchy and scary all at once. Give it a go when you get back from Womad.

To be honest I wasn't overly impressed with Valerian... but I had just watched Dunkirk on the Imax screen shortly before it so to be fair it had a lot to live up to

Really enjoyed valerian despite many critics slating it. Thought it was like Star Wars meets barbarella and with good reason. Barbarella was based on a 1960's French cartoon strip and Star Wars was heavily influenced by French cartoon sci fi of the same era. Anyway, thought valerian was different and taking risks rather than a safe format. oh and also good to see the leads and the love interest being similar ages. None of that Harrison ford or similar aged male actor hitting on someone half his age.
