Last night went to a live screen8ng of ‘everybody’s talking about Jamie’. Not heard anything about it before but it was fabulous. A musical about a wannabe drag act who wants to attend his school prom as himself. So funny, great performances and really funny. But the night belonged to Jamie, such a great performance.

It's based on a true story isn't it? I'm sure I remember seeing a TV documentary about him a few years ago.

Yes it is, although I missed the documentary. found out that there is a film version scheduled for production. A must see for me and all my friends and colleagues. Just hope they keep the same cast. Imagine if they make if for an American market...meryll streep as his mother, tom cruise as Jamie...nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

We nearly went to see it, we were invited by some friends as they wanted to go, but it transpired they were double booking themselves so pulled out and unfortunately musicals are not Mrs SC's thing, so we didn't. Shame I missed a good show

The Lathe of Heaven 1979 version. Expect 1979 low budget special effects, but the heart of the story rings true.

Saw the RSC live screening of The Merry Wives of Windsor on Wednesday. Described as Shakespeare meets TOWIE (could hear the older ones in the audience whispering to each other ‘what’s TOWIE?’). It was a very contemporary and very very funny. There some more screenings on the 23rd September and highly recommend going if you get the chance. Two trailers for you.

Just stumbled over these history lessons from Australia ‘Sheila’s, badass women from Australian history’. You can find them on Sheila’s.tv . Very interesting, educational and above all, very funny. Why have I never heard of Nancy Wake until now? But the biggest lesson to be learnt is, don’t Australians swear a lot!
Here is a taster. An Australian woman still having to do in the 1960’s what the suffragettes were doing at the turn of the century just to be heard.
Oh, and you might notice it is part funded and supported by the Australian Government.

Solo: A Star Wars Story blu-ray landed on my doormat yesterday so I watched it that evening with a takeaway pizza Thoroughly enjoyed it, probably even more than when I saw it at the cinema. There was at least one moment when I had a massive grin on my face watching it
