Going back to the days when I still burned cds... R3 Womad from 2008... actually, it wasn't even that straightforward... before heading off to Womad, set the Freeview box and VHS to record the R3 broadcasts over the weekend, come back from Womad, hoping that the Freeview box hadn't crashed and/or the interminable proms weren't overunning into the womad broadcast (both happened too often), record them to minidisk, edit into cd lengthed sections on the minidisk (minidisks were so great but misunderstood), transfer to pc, then burn the dozen or so cds... quite an antiquated ritual... miss those simpler times. But Friday night from the main stage and the late Rachid Taha is still sounding great... 12 years later.
