Evening all We are on our way home from Manchester after attending the funeral of a close friend. It was all very religious and the most moving part was a message or friend had written just before she passed. Sorry to hear this. Attended a visitation for a coworker today that retired 4 years ago, that I didn't know long before he retired, but knew well enough to know he shouldn't have died the way he did. I haven't seen him for years now, I didn't realize it was that long ago, and in that, perhaps, went more for the other guys at work that did know him well and some for a very long time. It was one of those things that shouldn't happen anywhere, but sadly is becoming too common. Even more sad is not the first person I know that's been murdered in recent years. Hopefully it will be the last. wgntv.com/2019/04/19/concealed-carry-holder-robbery-suspect-fatally-shoot-each-other-police/ I'm still excited about my trip, though it gives one pause for reflection. Monday I'll be getting on a jet and Tuesday I'll be flying over most of you. I have a lot to do tomorrow and Monday morning. Wish me luck.

So sorry to hear this ZR, it must be awful, makes me feel grateful to live in a Country where guns are still the minority. Thoughts are with you.

Well, I have a little collection of Euro Election flyers, nothing from The Tories and some less ambiguous than others View AttachmentThe Tories are pretending it's not happening... other than the 'rhymes with Jeremy Hunt' pack who are itching for their big fat chance. I really find it astounding and disgusting how we've ended up in this mess, driven by political infighting and manipulation of ignorance. Unfortunately the remain votes will be split... just hoping and wishing that enough people will vote tactically against the NF party (apparently dear Nigel used to be quite proud of the coincidence in his initials) while giving the Tories and Labour the massive two fingers they deserve.

Rhetorical question for SC. When are we going to see any coverage of the Lib Dem or Green campaigns? When are we likely to see Vince Cable on T V. One moment we are being lectured about rules of impartiality and the rest of the day we seem to be having coverage of What Farage is up to (along with Corbyn and May, although they are tied up with day to day Government business). Jees, I am so Effin sick of his grinning frog face.
oh and when people say they voted leave to shake up the country and politics. Don’t they remember we were given the opportunity to do that before the referendum. Voters remorse, I am sorry to say that I voted to retain the existing electoral first pas5 the post system, if I could only turn back time and vote on that one again.

So the Romanians go to the Euro polls tomorrow and the whole country is buzzing with excitement... errm actually I have seen no evidence to suggest an election of any sort is imminent.
I'm currently in Bucovina, close to the border with Ukraine. It is truly beautiful, abundant wild-flower meadows, the freshest air, unique amazing painted monasteries, the horse and cart remains a commonplace means of transport, and the sounds of gypsy fiddle music often playing in the background. It's a world away from how the country is usually portrayed in the media, and I hope it stays this way for a long time.

Nice and peaceful because (according to The Daily Mail) they are all over here drawing benefits. sounds wonderful and I am so jealous of hearing the fiddle music.
