It’s a story often told, of the joy of poverty, but do the tourists ask the family living in one room and smiling at them, “Would you rather live in this one room or a 3 bed semi in Surberton? Or the guy that can only afford a horse and cart “Would you prefer a Ford Fiesta?” Of course it looks quant, but it’s not quant through choice. One thing that did impact me greatly about society, was when I visited Orkney and The archeology, which goes back there 6,000 years. Loads and loads of archeology, the inhabitants from about 6,000bc to about 600ad where from stranded people when Doggerland flooded separating our Islands from the rest of Europe. For the stranded people there were no wolves, no bears, we had no predictors, but lots of deer, rabbit, shell fish, fish, whale, nuts, barley. Resources were plentiful, man was few. Despite there being loads of archeological finds and sites for that period, not one weapon has been found. Says something powerful doesn’t it? If resources exceed population and you have the correct structure of society, you don’t have war or hate.

I can assure you there is more poverty in the UK than in Romania. Don't think I've seen any one room houses! Horse and carts are used because that's usually all that is needed. It doesn't look 'quaint', that is your presumption. But carry on looking at the world through an MSM influenced lens, you are quite good at that.

Drove over the Carpathian mountains today, stunningly beautiful. Now in Breb, Maramures, still very close to the Ukrainian border. There are eight UNESCO world heritage listed wooden churches in Maramures, hoping to see most of them over the next couple of days. MSM = mainstream media, btw Romania is a three hour flight away, it is not expensive, there is so much to see, plenty of visitors, hardly any of them English. I wonder why.

It's the 1st June & the USA has had it's 150th Mass Shooting this year (outside the USA we would call it 150th Mass Murder this year). Why don't they just ban guns like a civilised Country?

I just worry about this country... how did a handful of far-right Tories land the uk in this terrible mess? And why was Trump invited to visit? It's all to his advantage - handy pr for his re-election campaign. And just maybe a chance for Brexiteers to push a post-brexit deal with Trump. Grief.

Chlorinated chicken, GM Crops, guns, lower food standards, private healthcare providers, legalised union busters, lowering animal rights, unregulated bio chemicals etc. America has so much to offer in a trade deal. for anyone who thinks ‘politics is not for me’ this will go to show why it is relevant and why you should take an interest - before politics takes an interest in you as a consumer for American imports

For the same reason my country is stuck with a wannabe dictator, even though it is abundantly clear Hillary not only won the popular vote, but the electoral vote as well. Can you say hacked voting machines. That coupled with voter suppression. Unfortunately, the everyday racist, sexist and such will climb aboard a sinking ship if they are told it makes them superior. Sadly, as the scared fools scramble aboard, it keeps those smart enough to leave a sinking ship from being able to do so.

As, so many things that are banned for consumption, even in third world countries, may be in your food here. Sadly avoiding those things will cost you. So, poor people are more likely to consume those ingredients. They cry deregulation, yet are happy to make unreasonable regulations women's choices of birth control and beyond. I'm hoping sanity and reason win in the end, but we may have a bumpy ride ahead. Sure you don't want to keep Trump?
