Missed that...but back at sparrow hawk nest..amazing that they find it!! They think female drabber the male...I contest that..gorgeous bird! Male calling and female comes in to collect food...poor little tit!

Brett and Bertie allison discussing the sparrowhawk; male delivering food, calling the female in to collect it,- she arrives, he goes off, looks like a blue tit for dinner; she eats... and calls maybe to ward off potential threats to the nest....she has five eggs on the nest which may make it difficult for her to eat there....

..pesticides resulted in sparrowhawks and peregrines to lay thi shelled eggs which broke under the weight of inccubation.. populations recovered when pesticide use stopped...

She is feeding on the ground as she might damage the eggs ( she has 5) if feeds in the nest. Tidies herself up, wipes her bill and then back to nest.

This seems to be the Extra format now..look at cams and voices off.
Poor single mum blue tit having to feed and try to keep warm four chicks..lost one yesterday. About a week old
