Such unspeakable darkness and hate, with no glimmer of light. Beyond words horrific. Yes DT, it is utterly, unbelievaby terrible. I can hardly read about it, see photos of the suffering, or think about it without feeling intense despair and hopelessness. Those poor people, especially the children... it's unbearable to see. |

So, the only track I listened to of Peter's drip-drip-drip release programme was the first one. I decided after that (a) I liked it, and (b) I wanted to hear the rest as a full album, so I didn't listen to any more of the tracks as they came out (apart from what he played at the gig)... ... and today, the full album is released! So I've bought it (digital version, from Bandcamp: petergabriel.bandcamp.com/album/i-o) and I'm listening to it now, and I'm REALLY enjoying it! 😀 (I've also split it into two separate Bright Side and Dark Side albums)  |

Next full moon is 27 December... But how is he going to be able to keep pulling stuff out of his proverbial hat to keep the Bandcamp club going? "here's another idea for a track I started in 1982... the ryhthm is based on a sample of copulating gorilla grunts I'd recorded in the Amazon, and which Gerry Marrotta tracked on his kit (this was post-Mozart but pre-MIDI) and then 18 years later Manu added some high hat - that was almost the finishing touch. Then last week Brian came down and created the keyboard part... I think some trumpets and bagpipes should finish it, along with the lyrics, some guitar stuff, some bass.. but here you can hear it as it is..." |
