I recommend that everyone should go and see I, Daniel Blake. This film describes accurately how people are suffering and dying because of the regulations imposed by the DWP enforced by the Tory government. I saw the film at The Market Hall, Shrewsbury. I know from family members that the portrayal of the heartless benefit office staff is accurate but I doubt very much that the majority of the audience had any idea how some people are forced to exist in Tory austerity Britain today. Shame on those who voted for this evil bunch of bastards. I am Daniel Blake. Did you see Ken Loach on Question Time last Thursday PD? Still on BBC IPlayer, he was one of the great orators of the show along with Brinton and Keir Starmer, the other two were lost

No I didn't sc, I don't have a tv so can no longer watch iplayer but I've read and seen reports of what he said. His most recent thoughts on the competence of the Tory government are here in response to Work and Pensions Secretary's comments on the film: Ken Loach on Damien Green

I have a TV, but will be avoiding regular TV for the next couple of days to avoid the stupid political ads that will be far too frequent. Anyone who hasn't done their research by now and is swayed by any of that, good or bad, really?

I do feel for you ZR "Let it stop........... please" but I guess the Politicians have to fight to the end, if one stops campaigning with a couple of days to go would be disaster for the team that stops, but you are right, who will change their minds now??? Unless something else happens, that could effect things, or another scandal perhaps. Roll on Wednesday and good news

Watched "Room" tonight, a story about the son of an abducted girl imprisoned in a room, his first 5 years of experience are just that room with his mother, then escape and his reaction to the world outside. Powerful and my eyes filled up at one point (hey I do that quite easily with films, emotions and laughter)

Alien Covenant
8/10 rated at 15 in the UK kind of give the game away that there won't be much of blood bath or fright fest,
The film relies on tell the next chapter in the Alien history to drive the film and it does so very well. The plot does get a bit transparent at time and but if your a fan of the Alien films you will enjoy it
if not you might get a bit lost
