You may have trouble reading this without enlarging it, but it's the best I can do at the moment...!
Some great stuff here, Dakhabrakha, Orbital, Salif Keita, Anna Calvi stand out for me so far!

This is an awesome line-up so far - just realised Baba Zula (Turkish 'psyche' combo) are in there. They were on my wish list.
Looking forward to seeing Canzoniere Grencanico Salentino again too.
Then there are many 'unknowns' to look up which will keep me busy for a while!

Good to see Brushy One String listed and hope there are no visa problems this year...although if he was denied entry a few years back, will the immigration process in 2019 prove more demanding for the Womad adm8n team?

I saw Vaudou Game at the End Of The Road. Well worth catching! DakhaBrakha are amazing of course, and am excited about Orbital and Ziggy Marley. From Ireland I can recommend Saint Sister.
I haven’t actually made up my mind whether I will go yet. Will do some more research and hopefully make a decision.

Already finding some real gems sampling the Womad site clips. Just trying to figure out which stage each are going to appear on and what to expect. So far impressed with Les Filles De Illighadad, Delgres, Orquestra Akokan amongst others. Very happy. 😀

Hopefully Brushy's visa will go through OK this time! The Womad pixies must be confident - wouldn't look too good if he had to cancel a second time.
There do appear to be a greater proportion of UK acts this time, probably because of the problems in booking overseas acts reorted in the Guradian. Still, there are some gems in there, as you say Mikey.

Are you going to tell all or leave us guessing. I am sure we all promise not to tell the Womad security. 😉

As I said at the time, mass waving of national flags has no place at Womad and I'm pleased it is not going to happen again.
By the way, as good as the music is, and I enjoy it too, you do get that DB is a student project and there is nothing authentic about the music or costumes. There is no tradition of Ukrainian folk music.

I was at that very wet Sunday EOTR Vaudou Game performance, it was one of my highlights, so glad they are on the line up this year.

There is no tradition of Ukrainian folk music. try to get a listen to their last album, you are right they are not a traditional folk band and they never said they were one as for the flags that was a one time deal and no one was forced to do anything and those who want to take part were happy to do so. You can't please all of the people all of the time. Mikey, Del will explain at WOMAD as it a long story that is better with an ale
