Womad have already annonunced that Les Amazones d'Afrique will be performimng, and plan to make the announcement of the first batch of artists at the end of February. So only four weeks to wait!  |

Fatoumata Diawara will be playing the Cambridge folk fest so you never know.....

Acts doing the festival circuit this year who would be great to see: Fatoumata Diawara Mulatu Astatke Amadou & Miriam with The Blind Boys of Alabama Catrin Finch & Sekou Keita Roberto Fonseca My dream Womad acts: Bjork (exclusively playing blue dot festival they same weekend ) Angelique Kidjo (surely a possibility?!) Bjork with an orchestra at Blue Dot is listed as a festival exclusive, which makes it even less likely she will also be at Womad.
However, Rhiannon Giddens with Francesco Turriso will be in Dublin on the 24th, does that allow enough time to arrive at Charlton Park for the Saturday or Sunday?
