No I have not had my vaccine (or likely to get an appointment for a few months yet) but it is something to celebrate when someone we know gets theirs. After all, it protects you and as the ‘herd’ increases, helps protect all of us and takes us a step closer to normality (and hopefully a successful WOMAD). thought it might be good to have a thread to let others know you have had your appointment date, first vaccine, second vaccine. Although I will be jealous of anyone getting a vaccine ahead of me 😉 I will offer my congratulations 😀

Hoping to get my first dose some time in March, fingers crossed! Our GP surgery in Malmesbury has started vaccinations, which is in walking distance!
My stepfather, who's nearly 92, has now had both of his vaacinations. First was before Christmas, and he was given an appointment for his second for 3 weeks later. He thought that this might be postponed, but the surgery went ahead with the second, despite the new 3-month interval approach. And because it was at a local surgery, he was able to walk there - he's very fit for his age! He's very relieved he's been done.

My mum, aged 86, had her first vaccine last week. Spent half an hour queuing in the freezing cold beforehand, and very dizzy and tired for 36 hours afterwards, but if it works will definitely be worth it.

Del got his frist Pfizer jab last week due to his job.
No idea when he will get a second and nothing to prove he got the first jab as the SNP have decided not to issue vaccination cards.
Fingers crossed no one asks anyone from Scotland to prove they have been vaccinated..........

Great news that Del has had his first vaccine but does seem a bit unreal if not given evidence to show apart from a fading bruise on the arm.
But still good news 🎉💥🎉

Yeah, it would seem a better idea to verify who has, and who hasn't had a first and second shot.
With a new administration in the White House, we should soon see improvements in distribution this side of the pond, but since the outgoing administration had no plan at all, aside from make things as difficult as possible for President Biden and Vice President Harris, and in Trump's own words, left the cupboards bear, it will take a bit of time to get things rolling efficiently.
Although, it's possible those of us in the delivery industry could get them as early as April, I'm thinking this summer to be more likely.

Strange to hear the US president wasn't playing golf this weekend Probably avoiding anywhere he might receive a subpoena. It's always possible he's flown on a private jet to Russia to talk to his boss.

Is that the new president or the old orange one? LOL, I misread your post, I was referring to the exPresident, but eternally orange turd. I'm not sure Biden golfs.

OK, I checked, apparently he does, so it will be fun listening to the Republican's complain when he does find time to go golfing. Chances are good, he won't be flying to another state and charge the Secret Service for staying at his hotels. OK, he doesn't own any hotels... He will likely golf local at Camp David most of the time.

Ruby and I had our first vaccinations yesterday! Yippee!
It came as a bit of a surpise as we were telephoned on Wednesday evening asking whether we could go in to have our jabs the next day. We thought we'd have to wait till next month. And it was at out local GP surgery, and all very well organised.
A sore arm thius morning this morning, but not complaining!
