Creative shot of the moon. It worked out really well for this moon that there was a dark new moon to allow it to glow even brighter. Attachments:

My home away from home. Not sure it was entirely worth the price, but was definitely not a bad way to go for someone traveling from another country, as it seemed most of us were. Might be better to bring your own bedding, I kept breaking out in light hives. Having been, if I ever get a chance to return I might try a Camp WOMAD tent. Have to admit, I agree with a couple of ladies I was walking behind that were talking to each other that it might be cheaper to stay at a nice hotel and take a cab everyday. Someone told me the Airstreams run in the range of 5,000 pounds for the weekend. 😮 Attachments:

Don't usually post pictures with other people's kids in them, but it was almost impossible at the WOMAD 40 sign. That and I just love this picture. Wish I could find the parents, I'd be they'd love this picture too. Attachments:

KOG, then Fantastic Negrito. Had a battery malfunction, should have been fully charged, but wasn't, the first day, so wasn't able to work the settings as well in the darker settings to get better pictures. Was able to squeeze a few extra pictures out of it than I would have otherwise had gotten. These will have to be the last two today, because I really need to get ready for work. 😕 Attachments:

Great pictures ZR:)
Those beds in the tent don't look so comfortable, were you able to sleep? An air mattress may have been preferable. That being said I decamped to the nearest Premier Inn on Sunday night, it was bliss:)
Re pictures, I know I have been told before, but... how do you post them?!

That being said I decamped to the nearest Premier Inn on Sunday night, it was bliss:) Re pictures, I know I have been told before, but... how do you post them?! They did have air mattresses. After the first night I let air out of the one I was sleeping on. It was way too hard. I also put one of the duvets between me and the air mattress. Made for warmer sleeping too. Adding pictures has to be done in desktop mode. Although, pictures up to 1mb can be downloaded, it's greatly appreciated if it's done at a much smaller size. Only have so much space allowed. Open up reply from the quick reply menu, look for the attachment symbol and you should be good from there. If you are using a photo hosting site, look for the symbol that looks like a picture, click on that and insert photo link in-between the brackets. If needed will look up better directions when I have more time.

Right - my musical moments
Thursday. Wasn't there
Friday - Yazz Ahmed, yeah. The Egyptians Mazaher were great too and The Fontanas hit the spot. I had three in a row Friday who I "knew". Started off with Olcay Bayir, pretty much the only gig I was virtually at the front for. Then Angelique Kidjo. Her set definitely livened up in the last 20 and nice to moment the brief appearance of Peter Gabriel. Night ended with Sona Jobarteh. A few feedback issues....she was playing same stuff as her last appearance 6 or so years ago, I think she is more a teacher of the kora rather than a recording artist, or it would seem. Nice to see her kid join her on stage.
Saturday - The Spirituals, great start to the day! Loved the suits worn by Voka Gentle....the lead singer climbed up the rigging! I would describe them as a mix of electo pop kraut rock. The Romanians of Taraf de Caliau got the limbs moving. Nitin Sawhney a slight disappointment compared to his performance at Reading and was happy to leave slightly early to get a better spot for The Lips. They were great. I should have seem them 20 years ago when The Soft Bulletin came out but never did. Nice to hear some familiar songs, ending with the bombastic Race for the Prize. Still relevant today and probably always will be. No apologies from me for a pop band to be one of my highlights of the whole weekend, just so much fun. Did Wayne Coyne ever get his bird back? Ended up with solo pianist Alban Claudin who i loved too although spent it lying down so didn't see much.
Sunday - ended up more of a meh day compared to Saturday. Left Stornoway earlier, reminded me too much of Mumford and Songs. Mexicans Mariachi Las Adelitas I adored, the cover of Back to Black didn't work for me but everything else great. Hollie Hook Cook good, nice cover of Sawney's Lidia from Jasdeep Singh Degun and a set I enjoyed. I also really got into the Icelander Asgeir. What is it about Iceland and great musicians. The evening then petered out but not really care too much. Had a great time:)
