So, we not using "Full Moon Pub/Full Moon Pub/Seen any good films?" ? I would say yes because this is in the Everything Womad section, the reason being I think it might confuse new Lunartics if people go off topic/thread. I get confused and a bit annoyed where people just post randomly, but then I do like everything in order . Mind you, we don't want any 'other forum' style dictatorial attitudes do we? "Yes" we use "Full Moon Pub" for Film Reviews, or "Yes" we use "Everything Womad" for Film Reviews? .......... Confused from Kent

I really enjoyed BBC 4 last night. A really good, insightful documentary on Loretta Lynn, followed by (its been screened before) an excellent Queens of the Country programme. All the usual suspects were on there; Olivia Newton John, Dolly, Emmylou, Gillian Welch, Roseanne Cash, Carlene Carter, Alison Krauss but the Lucinda Williams duet with Mary Chapin Carpenter was just sublime. The only act I didn't like was Taylor Swift.
Following that was Dolly at Glasto from 2014. It was okay
I was planning to spend the evening listening to Radio 3. Will have to catch up with that on the iplayer

Having a decco at Danny Boyle films again. Last night I watched 28 Days Later and tonight I watched The Beach. I usually fall asleep during films but these both kept me awake.

On to Ken Loach films now, watched Riff-Raff (1991) a couple of nights ago. I laughed so loud at Ricky Tomlinson's outspoken left-wing opinions that my 84 year old neighbour wondered if I was ok. Tomlinson himself has a chequered history. He was once a member of the National Front but later turned to the far left and was jailed in 1972 for 'conspiracy to intimidate' during his flying picket days on a Shrewsbury building site.

Leviathan - it's long, Russian, depressing... and totally compelling.
