Holy Crap! They finally indicted Trump. Let's see if the USA justice system can hold a rich overpriviledged white man accountable for this and hopefully more indictments for his many other crimes to come. No one should ever be above the law, least of all in the USA. Do prisoners still have to wear orange jumpsuits in the US prison system? if so. How will they know where the jumpsuit ends and Trump begins? In fact, on a really sunny day he will blend into the surroundings so much, he will be able to just walk out of jail without anyone even noticing?

The good thing, so very few people showed up to show their support for Trump, that was a beautiful thing. ...and how does Trump's propaganda machine, Fox News handle this now that they've spilled the beans that they don't believe the bullshit they spout to support Trump? www.theguardian.com/media/2023/mar/12/fox-news-donald-trump-relationshipI am hoping that Trump and all the evil madness that is attached to him will soon crumble. That's the most bizarre thing. Radicalized FOX viewers believe the lies and not the truth. They have too much of what they want to believe is real vested in the lies from FOX, and other far right sources. Trumpers and the true fascists amongst them have too much invested in the cult to admit they've been had, or in the case of the latter's, playing the former for the fools they are. It's a hard thing to do, admit you've been conned. The problem with that is if you can't admit you've been conned, you will continue to fall for the con and others, over, and over, and over again. Think about it. Trump claims to be a billionaire, but he needs people to send him money. It seems likely, Orange Traitor (Trump) made more money grifting off the people he himself calls suckers and losers, than he's likely ever made honestly. Frankly, I'm not sure Trump, or his family, has ever made any money honestly. I'm hopeful, but the USA is in a dangerous place politically right now. However, it seems, it is standing as a warning to the other countries flirting with voting for fascism.

Though most prisons seem to use the orange jumpsuit, there are prisons that use different prisoner uniforms. I'm not hopeful Trump the Traitor will ever wear one, but we haven't seen the indictments for the January 6, 2021 coup yet. Those are the charges Trump, and some of the Republican Senators and Congressmen have to worry about serving real time and no longer being able to run for political office. With a dash of lose your pension, benefits, and for Trump, also his tax payer paid security detail. As for Lindsey Graham, isn't crying because Trump has been charged, he's crying, because he knows there are indictments with his name on them for Georgia election interference, and hoping people will send him some money for the lawyers he's going to need.

BTW, it's not you, the Republican Party has gone completely insane. They want to lower the age to get a gun, but raise the age to vote. Insanity.

I just can't get my head around the whole right-wing mentality... are they just stupid? But US gun culture is off-the-scale - I really can't imagine how they are able to justify it to themselves every time there's a terrible shooting (ie every day of the week) Am I missing something?

Probably, meant to reply to this a long time ago. Anyway, the only thing those that call themselves the Right have is being a victim and distraction from what's important. They are frantic after so many years of slowly positioning themselves for the full fascist power they've wanted to achieve all along. Those that vote for them still, have drank their poison and think they'd be better off under a dictator. The youth and women are realizing they aren't included in their version of the 'good life.' I'm hoping the youth and more women in the states and other countries teetering on the edge, realize it's not a world they want to live in. If Poland's recent vote is any indicator, we can only hope, it's a good one. www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-67156864

And the shit show won again. Need I say more. Pardon my phrasing, nothing else fits the moment.
Sadly, every evil result from the Republican's decisions and actions will unexplainably be blamed on the Democratic Party. OK, so one thing won't really change. How anyone could vote for his grifting racist, misogynistic, idiotic ass, I will never understand.
Fortunately, for now, I live in a state where the governor, Pritzker, has vowed to protect its residents as best he can. We can only hope he can.
Thanks for letting me vent a bit. It will be strange days indeed.

What I like about Trump is his indomitable spirit and perseverance to succeed through the worst of circumstances. In his early days he could face the worst, bankrupting through failed business ventures of Hotels, Condo and Casino. Did give up, no! He had the wherewithal to pick himself up, dust himself down (like in the old song) and start all over again…by asking Daddy for another multi million dollar bailout.

The only thing that does make sense to me is that maybe the US tolerance of the ongoing horror inflicted by Israel on Gaza played a part in the collapse of the Democrat vote...? www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2024/nov/11/kamal-harris-gaza-democrats-arab-american-voters-donald-trump
