What I like about Trump is his indomitable spirit and perseverance to succeed through the worst of circumstances. In his early days he could face the worst, bankrupting through failed business ventures of Hotels, Condo and Casino. Did give up, no! He had the wherewithal to pick himself up, dust himself down (like in the old song) and start all over again…by asking Daddy for another multi million dollar bailout. Plus, those businesses failed largely, because he funneled the money to himself on top of bad decisions. In the case of the casinos he may also have been doing a lot of money laundering.

And the shit show won again. Need I say more. Pardon my phrasing, nothing else fits the moment. Sadly, every evil result from the Republican's decisions and actions will unexplainably be blamed on the Democratic Party. OK, so one thing won't really change. How anyone could vote for his grifting racist, misogynistic, idiotic ass, I will never understand. Fortunately, for now, I live in a state where the governor, Pritzker, has vowed to protect its residents as best he can. We can only hope he can. Thanks for letting me vent a bit. It will be strange days indeed. Agreed Zenrider - I think much of the world feels the same - puzzled and shocked and fearful for what may follow. The only thing that does make sense to me is that maybe the US tolerance of the ongoing horror inflicted by Israel on Gaza played a part in the collapse of the Democrat vote...? www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2024/nov/11/kamal-harris-gaza-democrats-arab-american-voters-donald-trumpJust as Putin intended. Hamas leadership immediately visited Putin after the attack. The Democratic Party has the problem of having to be perfect for everyone. They did such a great job getting us through the nightmare Trump left in his wake, but that wasn't enough. There is really nothing else they could do. Far too many are easily manipulated by fear hate and lies. There is nothing more they could have done. Tired of people blaming the Democrats.

Blaming Putin for the situation in Gaza is perhaps a step too far. That being said, I agree that it's weird that people who 90% agree with a political party will suddenly vote for a party they only agree 10% with because they are angered about stuff in the missing 10%. We see it here where lots of people have voted Tory (at least in the past, although seemingly no longer) for no logical reason at all.

We see it here where lots of people have voted Tory (at least in the past, although seemingly no longer) for no logical reason at all. Without Hama's attack there is no genocide in Gaza. Russian mercenaries trained Hamas. Hamas leadership went straight to Putin for a meeting after the attacks. These are things that actually happened. It may seem too easy to blame Putin for everything, but it seems all roads do lead there. The only one not full on board with Putin is Xi. Not because he thinks Putin is wrong, more because he wants to be the worlds fascist leader. Unfortunately, Trump will hand China Taiwan on a golden platter, and with some quid pro quo. Trump doesn't do anything for anybody without getting something in return ever. Though, Trump usually does get the short end of the stick. I think the worst thing is, except for some horrible treatment of immigrants, everything else will seem normal. The USA's economy will still grow for a while, not because of Trump, but because of what Biden did to regrow America after Trump's horrible response to Covid and neglecting the infrastructure. Biden was a brilliant President did everything right, until the Repubs took congress and started blocking progress, again. He just wasn't flashy enough flashy enough, and a lot of people don't understand how things work in politics. However, the corrupted Supreme Court may just ignore the Constitution and allow Trump to make laws without representation. Violent and especially hate crimes are already climbing. That is something Trump and his sycophants can take credit for, but won't. With Biden's economy crime has been dropping. Under Trump's first term crime rose, and will again. It's sad, we were just this side of reaching another age of enlightenment, instead we seem doomed for another dark ages, complete with god fearing idiots. Sigh. It's not god anyone has ever needed to fear, but the people that abuse power in any god's name.

If anyone thinks that the current genocide against the people of Palestine is the responsibility of anyone other than Israel, aided and abetted by the West, they are deluded.

If anyone thinks that the current genocide against the people of Palestine is the responsibility of anyone other than Israel, aided and abetted by the West, they are deluded. Don't forget Hamas's role. Without their unprovoked attack Netanyahu doesn't have a reason for his genocide. It should be noted the Hamas government has done nothing to protect Palestinian citizens. Nothing. Otherwise, the Democratic Party didn't do anything wrong. Far too many Americans chose apethy and/or hate and fear.
