Not sure wellies will be necessary but definitely going to be taking walking boots for the extra grip. Here's hoping for no umbrellas. Hopefully people can bring a waterproof with a hood Oh God! Forgot about the dancing umbrellas in front of Bellowhead a couple of years back. As if umbrellas were not bad enough, it was the selfish ****'s who then thought it would be a good idea to really piss of the people behind them by raising and moving their brollies along to the music.

Umbrellas...the bane of the festival goers lives. I remember those umbrellas too. Almost as bad as the picnic rugs spread out the edges of the stage and the filthy looks you got when you stood on them....

Tall people in hats with umbrellas? Why oh why aren't they asked to move to the back by someone on the stages? I'm only 5ft and very rarely get a good view of the stages anyway, although I do use an umbrella but think of others and stand at the side out of the way.

We use the Weather Underground app, which is meant to be very accurate. It collates info from private individual's weather stations. This morning it's saying: Thursday: rain from 10am until 3pm Friday: rain from 9am untiln11am and then 7pm onwards Saturday: rain overnight until 11am No rain for Sunday or Monday, (which is an improvement on yesterday's forecast).

Best experience of "Picnic Rug Distress" was people with rugs and chairs at the Ecotricity Stage just before "Red Hot Chilly Pipers" came on stage, their piece was shattered by an unstoppable tsunami of humans as 2,000 invaded a space meant for 200. It was amusing as their expressions quickly changed from, an annoyed glare, to blind panic as they tried to save their stuff from trampling Ban all chairs from the Siam Tent except around the edges and all umbrellas from all outside gigs (except around the edges after checking there is no one standing behind you, if there is go to the back)

At 5'2" I get this a lot. That space in front of me is so that I have a chance of seeing over the shoulders of the other 6'2" person in front of me. Maybe I should bring the booster stool that my sons had for the loo (Oh! No! - that word again!!!)

Simple. Arrive in the morning and hope to get through the enhanced bag checks before the storm blows in
