all you need is a steam hammer to get them into the ground No, you need John Henry because he was a steel driving man.

Malmesbury weather According to the above you won't need those tent pegs. Too far ahead to give an accurate forecast though

Malmesbury weather According to the above you won't need those tent pegs. Too far ahead to give an accurate forecast though Mallet has arrived; might be needed to whack them in, but they'll lift out without the peg puller outerer by the look of things! The odd light shower is ok, refreshing and rainbows are always nice; but not sustained rain - please, no sustained rain! Or wind (inside or outside the tent) I like the site, PD will keep an eye out for changes for fairer weather!

Scorchio again!
I do love cloudless blue skies, but this is getting a tad too hot at times for me!
Little or no rain forecast for SN16 in the foreseeable future. The long range Met Office forecast is:
UK Outlook for Saturday 14 Jul 2018 to Saturday 28 Jul 2018: The most likely scenario is that we will see a good deal of dry and settled weather across most parts of the UK in the second half of July with very warm or hot temperatures likely at times. There are some indications that in the north and west, more changeable conditions could bring cloudier skies and possibly some wet and windy weather at times. There may also be some interludes of more unsettled, cooler weather bringing outbreaks of rain or showers across the rest of the UK, however these will be short lived so dry and fine weather is likely for most of the time.
However I'd rather be hot and sweaty than wading through last years mud any day!

We’ve had next to no rain since 1 May here in Suffolk, grass is yellow, skies blue. Reminds me of 1976. I’m getting acclimatised to it now and people are asking me if I’ve been on holiday 😳☀️☀️💃🏾

Latest from The Met Office: "UK Outlook for Sunday 22 Jul 2018 to Sunday 5 Aug 2018: Changeable conditions are set to continue through the start of this period with showers likely, perhaps thundery in the south, or further spells of rain, especially in the north and northwest. However, there is low confidence for how long these conditions will last. Some further spells of fine, settled weather will probably return later in the month for many areas. Temperatures are likely to be above average for many with further very warm spells possible, most likely in the south. Temperatures will be closer to average in any unsettled spells, these most likely in the north and northwest."
So there's still no chance of snow ............

I wouldn't worry about long term forecasts. When you get closer to ten days is when you'll have a better idea of where the weather is headed. And even then, it can change. Fingers crossed for pleasant weather. Over here at the end of July is usually hot, hot, hot. And since we already have been mostly hot, hot, hot, not looking forward to it at all. It's about 30* today, after a nice weekend in the mid twenties. Guy got a bath. Going to stay around the low 30's all week. Sigh. I miss the summers that we mostly had twenties for a high, with cool nights. Good thing I bought a house with AC.
