Still no rain here in SN16 ...........
Met office long range forecast:
UK Outlook for Thursday 26 Jul 2018 to Thursday 9 Aug 2018:
There is likely to still be a good deal of fine weather around during this period, especially in the southeast where some further very warm or hot spells are possible. However there may also be some spells of more changeable weather with rain or showers arriving from the northwest at times, along with the risk of thunderstorms across some southern parts. Temperatures overall are likely to be above average for many, but returning closer to average in any unsettled spells of weather, and perhaps more generally in the northwest.

Every day this week rain has been forecast over here in the east (Suffolk), it never arrived.
The garden is crunchy.
Even the weeds are struggling now 😂 and I can’t remember when it last rained here..... April?
Hope it is mainly warm and dry for Womad weekend.

We've had 6mm of it today, which is the first rain in a very long time, and over half as much as we had in the whole of June! (11.2mm)

Oooooh you luck thing Nigenet! I can't remember the last ime it rained here - May, possibly? We've had several forecastings of possible heavy downpours recently, which haven't materialised. I got very excited on the way home from work last week when there were big puddled in the road only a few miles away, then nothing at home!
Here's the Met Office forecast for Malmebury this afternoon:
Thundery downpours? I'm not holding my breath!

Well we did get some rain in Malmesbury yesterday afternoon, but not the deluge my garden and water butt were crying out for - just a half hour of steadyish rain. The ground at CP will still be like concrete!
The forecast is for more unsettled weather now, which will mean less heat and maybe even some rain...

BBC weather app has now put the rain shower. Back to last thing Thursday night early Friday morning. So, first two days for Womad could pleasantly warm with some sunny intervals.
Bring it on!
(oh and don’t forget your mallet cos ground will be rock hard)

Nigenet's arrival usually councides with a light or not so light shower - a late shower does not bode well! 😁😁
