Seen that Rodrigo y Gabrielle are at the Beacon 23 June. The Siam was way too packed to see them when last at Womad, wonder if (Visa permitting) they will be in UK long enough for a main stage appearance at Charlton Park.

I got there earlier enough to get to see them, it was absolutely rammed in the Siam. Would love to see them again.
Last year's first announcement was on Feb 22nd, so hopefully we'll get it in the next couple of weeks or so...

The first announcement came on the 22 February last year. No clues yet from Womad but reckon we will be eagerly discussing the line up this time next week.

Thanks for the heads up Nige, have seen the Facebook update and all ready for next Wednesday. This is a week later than last years first announcement so apologies if my earlier email got anyone excited that we would have AN announcement two days ago, but…
THE COUNTDOWN IS ON

Just seen that Mokoomba have Womad down on their tour schedule. Is this the first known act to be performing? (apart from the Malmesbury Schools)

Easily done! The only act I've heard so far is The Breath, courtesy of Del who saw them at Celtic Connections and gto to hear that they'd be appearing at Womad this year. I've looked out for other possibilities, including those appearing at Womadelaide and NZ, but with no success. Guess it's a case of waiting patiently for Wednesday....

Very pleased with the line up announcement, great list of headline acts (and I am a big fan of Gogol Bordello), some names making a welcome return and plenty of interesting acts to check out in advance. Roll on 25th July.
Still no email from Womad but will have second attempt at rejigging my options (as per Nigenet).
Been walking the Bream Heritage Trail today (plenty of industrial heritage in what was once the largest village in UK), so was great to stop at the ‘only fools and sauces’ fast food yellow bus at whitecroft (opposite FoD tyres) for a mug of tea with a home made welsh cake and check out the line up on the Womad website. Very enjoyable 😁
