Glastonbury!! Never posted that before on any Womad forum
Some acts I'm hoping to catch - Sigur Ros, Rokia Traore, The Orchestra of Syrian Orchestra with Damon Albarn, Dakhabraka (I seem to recall some recommendations on the forum before ), Sharon Shannon, Ronnie Spector, Sheelanagig, Baaba Maal, Mbongwa Star, Larkin Poe, Squeeze, Eska, Sona Jobarteh, Quantic All Stars and PJ Harvey...and much more besides no doubt.
Weather forecast looking decent. Does a dry Glastonbury mean a dry WOMAD? Here's hoping

Enjoy Glastonbury D.M. I'll hope for good weather for you! Daylight Music for me tomorrow and then Leyton Mid-summer Festival with WOMAD favourite Katy Carr on Sunday and then Nadine Shar at the South Bank Centre in the evening as part of Meltdown. All free!

Thanks CalnDel and Beanstew. Forecast looking reasonable but reckon if there's too much more rain we could have some mud issues on arrival. Quite pleased I'm on the coach

Lined up a few Festivals for July, first up is Maverick then Global Rhythms in Christchurch Park, Ipswich; Harvest at Jimmys; then WOMAD! Plus I will be performing Singing Safari in Holywells Park, singing songs from around the world in the open air (don't rain!).
Hope you are enjoying Glastonbury Digital Monkey, let's hope the rain decides to stop soon!

Freebie event - Folk on the Quay - in Poole. Organised by Purbeck Valley Folk Festival. Particularly looking forward to Martha Tilston (always a favourite). Also appearing are Jackie Oates, Coco and the Butterfields, Sultans of String, Emma Sweeney, Duotone, Jess Morgan Trio, Meghan Blanchard , Solana, Krabat, Tori Reed,, Rosue Doonan & Ben Murray, Kadia , Naomi Bedford & Paul Simmonds and more - many of these acts are not from the UK so a bit of a world feel. Also African drumming workshops, Morris dance, dance workshops.....lots and lots going. Saturday and Sunday, all along Poole Quay. Kicks off at 11am tomorrow. Totally free! You can't get better than that. Really looking forward to it and doing the photography for th event as well!
