Saldy Del is still struggling with a sore throat, brain fog and low energy, his last day of self isolation is tomorrow but he has arrange a phone consultation with a GP as he's not well enough to return to work. Each time Del was vaccinated it took him a 2 or 3 weeks to get over them so he's not surprised he struggling with the real deal.
What Mikey says about the vaccines
Cal is also struggling with low energy and some brain fog but not as bad as Del (again similar to her response to the vaccines.

Well, maybe not the go back to work part. I was feeling a bit off last week, headache. Home Covid test was negative, so that's good. Took a few days off anyway. One paid, two not. Not in my plan with a rather expensive trip coming up, and a couple of vacation weeks coming up soon, but better to be safe. Hope everyone here is well and looking forward to seeing a lot of you in July.

sadly Del only lasted a day and half at his work, fatiuge and brain fog making working impossible (he also had to sit in his car for 30 minutes before he felt okay enough to drive home).
Since then Del has slowly been getting better and isn't due back at work until Friday, his managers have already suggest helping out in a day service which would be less demanding when he returns.
Cal been slowly recovering too and is due to return to work tomorrow, she is still struggling at times so may go back on reduce hours.
if all goes well both will be fine for WOMAD!

4 weeks since testing positive and Del is still slowly recovering, Cal seems to be making better progress.
Del has gone back to work but so far has only complete one of three shifts he has been allocated before he goes on holiday for 12 days

Had my Autumn Booster β
. Went to a walk-in, they vaccinate over 50βs, but on the day that walk in centre restricted vaccination to over 75βs, vulnerable and care workers etc due to high demand. Luckily as my wife and I are Voluntary Covid Vaccination Stewards, we still qualified as NHS Front Line Workers π

Luckily as my wife and I are Voluntary Covid Vaccination Stewards, we still qualified as NHS Front Line Workers π Glad you could get your boosters. Still don't understand the antivaxxer thought process. Especially, as especially the under 50's that are still dying from Covid are overwhelmingly unvaccinated. Even the over 50's dying of Covid are mostly unvaccinated. The variant booster is rolling out here, I'm guessing that's what you both got. They are not making people wait 6 months from their last booster, but as I got my last one just before WOMAD I am going to wait until before the end of the year holidays. Or maybe around Halloween. π

Ruby and I both had our Autumn boosters last week. The Moderna bivalent one. We also had anti-pneumonia jabs a few weeks ago, and we're this morning off to get out flu vaccines this morning. Our arms will be like pin cushions!

Our arms will be like pin cushions! I've not heard anything about boosters 'round these parts. I had pneumonia last year - was ill for weeks and not something I would want to repeat - how did you get a jab for that Rendrags?

We were offered a pneumonia jab because we're getting on in years! I think it's offered to those over 65, and is a one-off vaccination. So for a youngster like you you may have to wait a while!
With the Covid vaccine we went online to book as soon as we heard that we were eligible. We were able to book slots only a week or two ahead.
